He brings specialised expertise in investment management and equity research, gained through his roles as an analyst within the university’s investment community.
Before joining Cast from Clay, Meelad served as a Finance Officer for Women for Afghan Women and worked as an External Auditor for MGI Worldwide, where he specialised in ensuring rigorous financial governance and compliance. Most recently, he worked with The Launchpad Collective in London, where he led client communications, managed operational record-keeping, and supported the monitoring and evaluation of programme delivery.
Meelad holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor’s degree in finance from the American University of Afghanistan, where he graduated with High Honours. During his time in Edinburgh, he also served as a Junior Analyst for the university’s trading and investment club, where he conducted market research, valuation analysis, and risk assessment within the financials division.
